Mahesh Foundation an NGO based in Belagavi invited GSS BCA students for attending a programme on “Social Responsibilities of Youth”. A total of 128 students along with two BCA staff members Miss. Sheetal Lingsoor and Mrs. Smita Katkar visited the Mahesh foundation. The President of Mahesh Foundation Mr. Mahesh Jadhav addressed the students. In his address he briefed the students about various social activities to motivate them towards social activities. One of the objective of this session was to bring awareness about the people infected by HIV and the discrimination happening against them.
BCA students and staff shared their experience about the programme. The session concluded by presenting a certificate of appreciation to GSS College, Department of BCA.

The Department of BCA, GSS college, organized the “Hour Of Code” to celebrate the Computer Science Education Week which marks the birth anniversary of Computing Pioneer Admiral Grace Hopper. Hour of Code is a global movement reaching over 100 million students across 180 countries. This event motivates students and people from all age groups to learn computer science and programming by trying out this one hour of code.
